Our Mission
CanvasPet provides a one-stop-shop for conscientious pet owners to purchase organic, environmentally safe products for a healthy lifestyle and to treat common family pet health issues, while donating 100% of our annual profits to local and national dog rescues.

Our inspiration
It all started when our dog Lola developed skin issues and we looked to the Internet for solutions. We were overwhelmed by the amount of information found online. It seemed difficult to determine which products were valuable and which were gimmicks. What’s more, there was no clear single resource available online for sustainable-minded pet owners like us to get advice and find the products we needed.

Lucky for us, we have scientific backgrounds: we are two pharmacists and an engineer. This background has helped us wade through the plethora of information and misinformation on the web to decipher what’s fact and fiction. 

We researched reputable companies and tested the top products online. We met with veterinarians and established pet store owners that emphasized quality ingredients and environmentally safe practices, then looked into the companies and products they recommended. We read articles and scientific dog journals to understand the source of allergies.

In the end we found some great products from companies that only use organic or natural and safe ingredients, and whose manufacturing techniques are environmentally conscious. Most importantly, these products work!

It would have been a shame to keep this information to ourselves when there are so many more people like us: people who care for their family pets’ health, value quality-made products, and support the green movement.

 

CanvasPet was born to provide a one-stop-shop for people looking to solve their pet’s health needs through products that won’t damage the environment. Given that we rescued both of our dogs from a local no-kill shelter, we decided to donate 100% of our annual profits to such organizations locally and nationally to insure their continued good work.
